This week the thoughts are all haiku related to the ocean I found on the internet. I credited the authors when I could determine them.

Pen: Franklin-Christoph Pocket 40
Ink: Robert Oster Signature Fire & Ice
Paper: Calirfontaine Basics

I did get some nice shading with this combination but it did not show any of the sheen of Fire & Ice. Just the cool blue (Ice) with no red (Fire) sheen. The lettering is a little uneven. I was working quickly. I even tried to spell Clairfontaine wrong.

Pen: Kara Pen Company INK
Ink: Callifolio Olivastre
Paper: Quattro Paper Blank

This pen is a Brave Rifles edition of the INK. The color of the pen is very close to the Olivastre ink. The lettering of the quote came out decent except the baselines are very irregular. The all upper-case letters came out ok. I should have planned better to center the author’s name.

Pen: Pilot Metropolitan F nib
Ink: Voice Blueberry Pie
Paper: Tomoe River Paper - cream

I inked this pen with a sample of Blueberry Pie I was given last month just for this quote. For some reason I was expecting a brighter blue. I don’t know why. Blueberries are pretty much this color. To me, it is right on the edge of blue and blue-black. You could categorize it either way. The ink may have more character with a wider nib. The Pilot fine is quite fine.
