This week in India and elsewhere the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi is celebrated. Gandhi is known as Father of the Nation in India. He is very quotable. I just picked out a few that struck me as particularly interesting.

The XF nib works well in the Midori Traveler’s Notebook. The Noodler’s Antietam has some shading even with the XF nib. See the close up inset for an example.

You can just see the PFM in this picture, a burgundy model III. The fine 14K gold nib is a nice writer. The Diamine Oxbllod is a decent match for the pen but I actuall chose it because it is a close match to Texas A&M’s maroon.

I think De Atramentis Sherlock Holmes is a little bluer than this photo shows it. My lovely bride has been known to say she likes animals better than people. This was her favorite quote for the week.

Sometimes basic black is a great choice. Here each word got a different lettering style. If I had more time, I would have done this again and fixed the spacing and size consistencies in the word PRIORITIES.

I really like this pen. I keep it on my desk at home. The flat side keeps it from rolling around. The ink looks good in the pen and on paper. The fairly wide cursive calligraphy nib really shows off an ink too.
